- About $2,500 per RF hand-held
- About $1,000 for every 25,000 square feet of warehouse space – this is for the access points you’ll put in your ceiling.
- If you feel you need additional computers and printers to support the system, add your costs for these items. CompassIM can run on existing PCs and can use existing printers. Most sites will want a label printer, for printing bin location bar code labels, and possibly item bar code labels when needed. These vary in price from about $900 up, and the $900 variety is a good choice for most warehouses. Ribbons and labels are extra and the costs vary based on usage.
- There will be some physical installation costs, including the wiring to the access points in the ceiling. The wiring is standard CATV network cable, and the DC power to operate the access points is carried in the CATV cable.
- For the database, you can start with the free Express Edition of Microsoft SQL Server. Or you may decide purchase one of the editions that are chargeable. CompassIM works fine using the Express Edition as long as the size of your database is maintained under 4 GB. Later, if your database must grow to a larger size, you can upgrade to a chargeable edition.
To use the Pricing Chart
- For each item, add the dollar values in the Price and Annual Support columns for your initial purchase. Annual Support is required during your first year and is optional after that.
- Start with item 100100. This gets you the main CompassIM system with its PC interface and a single user license. You can install this on more than one computer in a single local area network. CompassIM allows its concurrent use based on the quantity of user licenses you purchase.
- If you decide to use CompassIM with RF terminals, add item 200100.
- If you need more than a single PC or RF license, add the quantity of item 300100 required.
- For each RF terminal, you need 300200
- If you are operating more than one organization, add 400100 for each additional one.
- If an organization has more than one warehouse location, add 400200 for each additional one.
- If you want to pass information back and forth to your business system, add 500100
- If you want CompassIM to print bar code labels, add 500106
- Add in other options as required.
