What does the name, CompassIM, mean?

The Compass part of the name is a reminder that within a warehouse, much of the wasted energy has to do with workers heading off in unproductive directions. CompassIM focuses on where inventory is found, with accuracy, and without question. Less wasted energy leads to labor savings and productivity improvements. "Compass" also recognizes that inventory can be stored in one location or in many locations around the compass and in all parts of the world.

The "I" part of the name is for "Inventory." Although the well-known term for systems of this ilk is "Warehouse" Management, it is really about "Inventory" Management, whether it is in a warehouse, distribution center, factory, storeroom, container, and so on. CompassIM is about controlling inventory, from purchasing to selling, at both the macro and micro levels.
