The CompassIM Warehouse Management System is designed to provide a wide range of features and options, and the need for custom modifications should be minimal. However, we recognise that organizations may want the system to perform in a specific manner, different from the system’s design. When we receive a request for custom work, we first evaluate it to see if the function can be incorporated as a standard feature. If so, the work can be performed at no additional cost. Otherwise, either Access Data Systems or some third party can provide the programming for the custom requirement. If Access Data Systems is to provide the programming, the work will be estimated either as a fixed cost or as a time and materials cost, depending on the nature of the requirement.
For work that can be performed at no additional cost, the completion timing is determined by Access Data Systems.
For programming that can be accomplished by third parties, Access Data Systems will provide the database structure and general guidelines for program development. Upon completion of the work, Access Data Systems will integrate and test the new feature. Depending on the nature and complexity of the custom feature, the integration and testing may be able to be completed without charge. The new feature becomes part of the licensed product, potentially available to other customers.
